Excellent western that beautifully demonstrates how real politics (the McCarthyist fear of communists) can be transferred into a western, so that the film functions as a critique of society, but at the same time independently, without the need for specific knowledge. Definitely one of the few underappreciated westerns that tells a great story, moreover in real time, where human stupidity and prejudice are beautifully portrayed. ()
