Inheritance (S01E01)

Eliza’s father dies of a heart attack and she takes over his detective business, against the wishes of everyone around her, including family friend Inspector Wellington (aka the Duke). In her first ever case, Eliza is hired by an unscrupulous male client trying to find his “long lost niece”, only for Eliza to discover he is in fact her estranged husband who wants his wife found so he can lock her up and steal her inheritance. Eliza turns him into the police, but proves to herself that she has got what it takes to be a detective. (A&E Television Networks)
