I was thrilled with Jo Koy's previous special, but this time, it felt like a letdown. Hyped up for his trademark humor and insights, I instead found myself bombarded with repetitive self-praise, constant nods to Filipino culture, and what felt like obligatory Netflix plugs. Laughs were scarce, and too often, I found myself watching unfamiliar faces instead of the comedian I came for. Now, as I reflect on it all, I can't find a reason to give it two stars. / Lesson learned: The higher the expectations, the bigger the letdown.
