We can take pride in the countryside, we can utilise it and develop it, but are we sufficiently critical of our actions? Or are we simply preparing further pitfalls for future generations? How much are we aware of the price to be paid for our comfortable lives? The documentary film on the Darker Side of Slovakia (Odvrácená strana Slovenska) shows the form of our countryside and our attitude towards it with regard to its future development and the possibilities which society is supposed to accept.
