Sinopsis(1)

This story takes place in 1947 in the Beskydy Mountains, where a 10-year-old boy lives with his mother. The boy has no father, does not attend school and throughout the year he tends the cows in the meadows of a local farmer, for whom his mother works for as well. Therefore, the boy is mostly looked after by his grandfather. There are still signs of the war everywhere; destroyed tanks and unexploded ammunition. One evening while herding the cattle, the boy meets two mysterious figures in the forest. He considers them to be the Goblin King and his scribe from a fairy-tale his grandfather had often told him. In reality, this is the leader of band of guerrilla outlaws, who is negotiating with the local mayor on moving his band across the border. During which he wants to rob and plunder the village.
