Sinopsis(1)

Bodrogi Zsuzsa and Zeke Jóska fall in love during the performances of the State Opera they both attend. But the young man is of the working class, and Mrs. Bodrogi does not wish to let her daughter marry below her social status. The family lives on the packages sent to them by an American uncle, and Uncle Kornél has already been informed in a letter that Zsuzsa's husband-to-be is a dentist. The generous relative sent the couple a fashionable dentist's chair, and plans to be present at the wedding in person. Elza is entrusted with the task of finding a husband to match the chair. She manages to find an eligible candidate at a derby, but the two young people marry secretly in the meantime. Mrs. Zeke, arriving to negotiate the case of the children, is not received by Mrs. Bodrogi. However, the two fathers make friends, drinking a bottle of good wine together. Eventually misunderstandings are cleared away, Uncle Kornél never makes it to Budapest, the mothers consent to the marriage, and Mr. Bodrogi even receives an award because of his working-class relative.
