Based on the poetics of Alain-Fournier, this is probably Kachlík's best film. Unfortunately, the book and the movie of the same name have been forgotten for years. The film was last appreciated when it was created in San Sebastian. It’s a pleasant surprise from the early 1980s. A tasteful period piece with interesting adaptation and well-led actors. We can really only hope for more reruns of it on TV.

Back in the 1950s, Mach made films that worked at least within a certain category. Later it was more or less not worth talking about and this is his swan song. It’s better if you don’t watch it. A cohort of Prague actors with a strange dialect in a village slapstick on the theme of family cohesion, which is most important of all. Unfortunately, the ceiling was high.

The best part of it all is the final headline: "In 1980, the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts management promised the filmmakers that it would look for an outlet for the film. After the student strike in November and December 1989, it succeeded."

Who Looks for Gold? is the grandest of the grand. You can but look and revel in the smallness - these are the highlights of life lined with dinner, coffee, and sitting in front of the TV. These are the black rides, the stolen materials for the villas outside Prague, and in all of this Honza Hrušínský, who found himself in those quality young men and continued all those romances from the present. Ah, the golden normalization era. Menzel spins it poetically and Svěrák puts such wisdom into the mouth of the main character that it's not even satire anymore.

A bit of Brno, a bit of that cute cat Mr. Adolf, a bit of that fake conductor of the Athens Opera. This cruel joke of a short story collection is a showcase for the theme of ego and self. It's not a joyful spectacle, but it is fascinating in its own way to see how that woman's blonde nineteen-year-old ego outgrows the overripe ego of the bon vivant between forty and death. Although I find it a somewhat demanding hobby to read thoroughly the body of Czech literature adapted for film, I will do it for Kundera.

True, Eduard Fiker's first encounter with film, A Step into the Darkness, was better, but it must be said that Paklíč is also an attractive Czech detective story. Oldřich Nový and Jiřina Steimarová had all the prerequisites to shine, but there were still some gaps in the pace in Cikán's direction and if Frič, for example, had made this, the cadence of the jokes would have been brisker.

#6 Illumination. It's not exactly terrible, but adults won't enjoy it as much as kids. However, if you liked the jokes from the trailer, then indulge your kids. It has cats and dogs and fish and all kinds of cool animals. The Happy Meal had cute-themed toys too.

This show never really held together and unlike the later tours with Kylie, this one is getting old. The glitzy futuristic look of the early millennium is simply out of style now. The sexy part is not very sexy - it has a lot of Madonna in it and we don't want that with Kylie. Perhaps only the final solo without unnecessary sets and the dance company has a chance to survive.

Aphrodite is a good show. I've never considered Kylie to be in my top 1, but she has an interesting career that can easily be drawn from and can reach ever new generations of listeners. It has pleasant attractions, colorful ideas, a sexy Kylie, and particularly the sound, which can be enjoyed or just perceived as a whole or as a backdrop. I really only respect the single "Confide in Me" and even then I found things I like in the new Kylie.
