A first class historical drama with great performances. If you know a bit of English history, you can't give less than four stars.

Brendan, Brendan... Another screwup. You'd think Jules Verne would never turn over in his grave more than after the latest adaptation of “Around the World in 80 Days”. This is just too much.

Basically, an average and classic story, which is, however, above average in its delivery. The cinematography, the music and their collaboration are Oldboy's strongest points, immediately followed by the acting performances. As with some other films, it annoyed me (what the hell is that?) that I guessed one of the main final twists halfway through the film. Even so, the ending was very strong. What I'll definitely remember for a long time is the fight in the corridor in front of the elevators and the hammering of teeth, but what I'd rather forget is the octopus eating scene! Friends, it’s really disgusting! I was sick and I was closing my eyes!

Well… Hmmmm… I was expecting a lot more. If Donnie Darko disappoints me like this, I'll probably stop trusting the judgement of some of my friends. Kutcher is a moron and the story is worthless.

Ugh, that was a really bad movie. Denzel Washington acted like an idiot the whole time, which is what struck me about him as unprecedented. Lithgow's villain had an easy job, but in the end he turned out to be an even bigger idiot than the main unbelievably obtuse hero. Washington's worst and one of Lithgow's worst films. But is it even a movie?

Although it's far from it, you can see that behind the camera is a man who used to know what humour is, and knew how to make parodies. But that doesn’t mean that this film is great in any way.

One of the best so-called post-revolutionary Czech films. Like The Firemen's Ball, I had to laugh at The Inheritance from beginning to end. I laughingly resist thinking for two hours about how timely and, yes, harshly true this film is. Each of us knows someone like Bohuš... And many people often are him.

Thrilling from the first to the last second. Hard Candy is primarily a well-acted film, a showcase for Ellen Page (I really love that girl) and Patrick Wilson.

A very good, enjoyable film with (how else) a great Michael Caine and an equal co-star in Demi Moore. An offbeat plot ending with a twist that makes you go "Aha!"

Better than The Day After Tomorrow and a tiny bit weaker than Independence Day. You have to accept Emmerich's game of "let the protagonists escape everything and solve everything at the last second", watch the screen, marvel and have fun. This film can be best described as: A perfect visual and sound orgy. The special effects are something truly unreal (and let's face it, they're the ones that attract most people to 2012) - the destruction of California, the Yellowstone volcano eruption, the flight and landing of a giant Russian plane, the Ark... Of course there are the ubiquitous allusions to the Bible, God and religion of all kinds (my favorite is the crack in the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel that appears between "those two fingers"), but the actors are also a delight. Cusack is standard, therefore good, Woody Harrelson enjoys his "nutcase" perfectly, Glover's president is quite folksy, but you still feel authority from him. Unforgettable, however, is the Russian Zlatko Burić (and his two prides - Antonov and Bentley)... Bottom line: 2012 is one of the funniest clichés I've ever seen, and I'll definitely go see it again and gladly. The 158 minutes went by suspiciously fast. Avatar, you lost this one.
