The first part of the Suck Me Shakespeer movie series could safely be described as a breath of fresh air in the German comedies sector, the second one was still quite passable, but Bora Dagtekin really should have stopped short of a third one, because it is more or less one big unfunny embarrassment. The only thing keeping this sinking barge afloat was perhaps the sexy handsome Elyas M'Barek and the energetic soundtrack. (40%)

This is a somewhat strange probe into the life of the frustrated and emotionally lost Niki. I wouldn't exactly call this movie a comedy, although there are a few black-humor moments. One of the funniest ones is undoubtedly the scene from the funeral parlor, with the deceased's favorite song playing on a scratched record. When the main character burst out laughing, I had to chuckle too. (70%)

I must admit that there are some excellent dance moves here and I like the theme music too. However, as the plot progressed, I was getting more and more anxious for this rather perverse party to end. I'm definitely not watching this one again. (55%)

I think the book by American writer and playwright Ira Levin is not bad, but its film adaptation did not interest me much and certainly did not make me want to read it. Even the performances didn't particularly impress me. So the only thing I can really commend is the dramatically apt musical score, provided by acclaimed composer Jerry Goldsmith. (40%)

Glenda Jackson's very convincing performance as Alzheimer's sufferer Maud is the centerpiece of a rather well-made TV movie that portrays in a very realistic way how this insidious disease can hit hard not only the life of the affected person, but also of all the people around who care about them. But I think the whole thing could have been done without the detective plot. (60%)

This psychological treat is graced by excellent performances from Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal, and Michael Shannon's fascinating portrayal of a cynical cancer-ridden detective is always hot on their heels. The atmosphere of the drama Nocturnal Animals is perfectly complemented by the disturbing music of Polish composer Abel Korzeniowski. The fascinating method of storytelling based on the interweaving of several time and plot levels kept me with bated breathe and forced me to engage my brain cells until the last second of the story, which definitely did not end with a close-up of the emotionally wounded face of the main character Susan. I'll certainly be wondering for a long time if I have understood correctly what Tom Ford was trying to tell me. (85%)

I’ve experienced some things and I can say that life really is rough just like this film presents, aided by the extremely convincing Tim Roth. This soul-rending spectacle is definitely not suitable for kids still playing in the playground. (80%)

I like Kore'eda's work very much, so I didn't hesitate when I came across his first production outside of Japan. The Truth is a film that is based on a solid idea, has a great cast in the lead roles, and amazing music, but somehow the essence of the message is mysteriously lost in the excessive amount of dialogue. Although the film deals with interpersonal relationships, at times it feels surprisingly cold. (65%)

I have to admit that in terms of family shows, Everwood is one of my favorites at the moment. Unlike many other viewers, however, I was only fully absorbed in the second season. However, from the very beginning, I enjoyed the fate of the inhabitants of the picturesque mountain town until the very end. As far as the script and the cast are concerned, I have basically no complaints. I wouldn't be mad at all if more seasons were made. (80%)

A suitably lavish spectacle to a time long gone that will probably never return. We can only thank all the filmmakers involved for the opportunity to reminisce nostalgically about the characters that the loyal viewers and lovers of Downton Abbeyliked so much a few years ago. (75%)
