Sinopsis(1)
Tom Harper (Timothy Spall), un jubilado de 90 años cuya esposa acaba de fallecer, se embarca en una emocionante travesía. Dejará atrás el aislado pueblo en el que vive desde hace cincuenta años, situado en el punto más al norte de Gran Bretaña, para viajar hasta su ciudad natal, en el extremo más al sur del país, utilizando para ello su billete gratuito de autobús. El intrépido protagonista le plantará cara al tiempo, a la edad y al destino con tal de cumplir la promesa que le hizo a su esposa Mary (Phyllis Logan). Regresando a su pasado, Tom descubrirá el mundo moderno y una diversidad multicultural británica que hasta entonces desconocía. En el camino, sus aventuras serán registradas por las personas que conoce y ayuda, y al final de su viaje, sin saberlo, se habrá convertido en una ‘celebrity’ de las redes sociales. (DeAPlaneta)
