Sinopsis(1)
El submarino nuclear "Neptuno" debido a una colisión que sufre por un barco y a la expesa niebla, yace sobre un lecho de rocas y barro a una profundidad de 1450 pies, suficiente para hacer estallar el casco, hay constantes alteraciones geológicas y sólo resta oxigeno suficiente para 48 horas a los supervivientes atrapados. Se planea un intento desesperado y se emplea una nave de rescate para gran profundidad y otra experimental de dos tripulantes en una tenebrosa carrera contra el tiempo, mientras temblores de tierra van inclinando cada vez mas el submarino hacia el abismo y caen toneladas de tierra sobre la escotilla de escape. Solo queda una última estratagema de vida o muerte para rescatar a los hombres atrapados en el fondo, el laborioso rescate será muy complicado. (Cinema International Corporation)
