El Japón medieval esta sumido en el caos debido a las guerras entre los diferentes señores feudales. itto, decapitador oficial de la corte de kurando, el Shogun, más sanguinario, es en realidad un hombre de honor que anhela vivir en paz. viendo en el un enemigo potencial, El Shogun envía a un grupo de ninjas en plena noche para asesinarle. En el ataque , Itto, que es un increíble espadachín, sale indemne, pero su mujer fallece. El samurai jura vengarse y conocido desde entonces como lobo solitario, Recorre el Japón en busca del asesino de su mujer con su hijo pequeño y su carrito lleno de armas, trabajando como mercenario y viéndose acosado en todo momento por los ninjas del Shogun. One little, two little, three hundred little ninjas... An absolute cult movie in all imaginable ways. The mysterious Lone Wolf and his son on a journey to find peace of mind (or to damnation; take your pick) leaving along their way by around a hundred dead bodies, gallons and gallons of blood and lots of severed body parts. This is a montage of the first few episodes of a loose series about their journey together. Even so, it contains emotional depth that you would never expect from such a fleeting glimpse. The only, unfortunately serious, objection I have is that in places it is almost too obvious that this is “just" a montage. One of the movies without which Tarantino would have had nothing to borrow from for Kill Bill.
