Subharchorden - En fremtid som aldri kom

The Subharchord tells the story of an instrument developed in communist East Germany, an early sound generator far ahead of its time. Filmmaker Ina Pillat traces the long-forgotten Subharchord from her native East Germany to modern-day Norway. In the process she walks us through the history of electronic music and paints a compelling and thought-provoking picture of the communist vision of the future – an optimistic vision that stands in stark contrast to the post-apocalyptic scenarios that haunt our collective consciousness today.
