Jack Baker llega, como siempre, con el tiempo justo a la sala de fiestas en la que él y su hermano Frank van a actuar tocando el piano. Llevan así muchos años. Han pasado por momentos mejores y peores, como todos los cantantes de salas de fiestas. Pero la actuación de esa noche es un total fracaso, por lo que el gerente del establecimiento les paga diciéndolos que no vuelvan por allí. A la vista del poco éxito que tiene el dúo últimamente, ambos se piensan seriamente la posibilidad de contratar a una cantante. (IVEX FILMS S.A.)

There's only one thing perfect about the 1980s - we had a younger Michelle Pfeiffer. :) Although the film is set in the present day, it makes all the important references to the nostalgia for the films of the 1940s, and that's what makes it so wonderful. The Jenn Tilly episode is fabulous. Michelle singing "Makin' Whoopee" on the piano made movie history, but it's an eternal shame that she's only featured twice on the original soundtrack. The other songs, therefore, have to be reaped directly from the film. Michelle's perfection as Susie Diamond (not only in her red electrifying mini skirt) got an Oscar nomination and is still her best musical role to this day. "I love you, baby, / And if it's quite alright, / I need you, baby, / To warm a lonely night. / I love you, baby…"
