It was too late, but a miracle did really take place. Anny Ondra had just been forced to close down her company Ondra-Lamač-Film, but she managed to take care of herself as an independent actress. Originally, the theme of this musical was created for Maurice Chevalier, but in the end, the stars were the popular couple Anny Ondra and Hans Söhnker. They had already acted together in The Young Count and Honeymoon. In these films, Anny gained one of her best film partners in Hans - he was as good as he when it came to wit, charm, elegance, and singing voice. And if here they could unwittingly compete as representatives of the women's stockings branch - André Vallier and women's shoes - Claudette Regnér in the Parisian fashion world, it was impossible for them to fail.
