Cat, Fouad, Antoine y Sami son cuatro amigos y compañeros de clase de doce años, indignados por lo que los vertidos de una fábrica local están haciendo con el río, cuyas aguas son ahora tan tóxicas como peligrosas. Juntos, deciden tomar cartas en el asunto y acabar radicalmente con la contaminación de una vez por todas. Para ello necesitarán la ayuda del pequeño Aimé, tímido, solitario y sometido al acoso escolar. Excitados por la perspectiva de la aventura, cuando las cosas empiezan a torcerse su amistad y hasta sus propias vidas estarán en peligro… No es cosa de risa, ¿o sí?
