Na Děribasovskoj chorošaja pogoda, ili na Brajton Bič opjať idut doždi

It could be lovely on Deribasovskaya Street, if it were any fun being there. Which it isn’t... I must admit that I was expecting something more like Peculiarities of the National Fishing. However, what I got was the same type of embarrassing lameness that we see in some Czech post-Velvet Revolution offerings, such as The Canary Connection and similar. I didn’t feel the urge even simply to grin while watching this. I must admit that there are some lead-ups to a good joke... But somehow I never noticed it get all the way to the joke itself. The rest of the time, this is just awful, made even more awful by the horrendous Czech dubbing. (27.08.2007)
