Una pequeña compañía de teatro Kabuki llega a un pueblo pesquero del sur de Japón. Años atrás, su líder, Komajuro, tuvo un romance con una de las aldeanas. De su breve unión nació un niño, Kiyoshi, que no tiene ni idea de quién es su padre. Pero Kiyoshi no es el único al que Komajuro ha mantenido en la oscuridad. Just how beautifully colorful this film is, it's a delight for the eyes. It is the primary sense that is utilized when watching this movie. Although the sound is picturesque, it doesn't stand out in that sense, and it will be the visual impression that remains in you, even with the last scene. Beautiful, funny, and tragic without the individual planes nullifying each other.
