I didn't expect much from this film, but in the end, I was pleasantly surprised. It fell just slightly short of earning a fourth star from me. With the benefit of hindsight, I consider Ray Liotta's performance to be the best in his career so far. It's surprisingly intimate for a psychological drama, yet it doesn't lack internal tension and dynamics. I ended up sympathizing quite a bit with the main antihero. Overall impression: 65%.
