(Buena Vista International Spain)

I really like the first installment, even though we can't talk much about installments here. Here, there's a nice romance, but nothing groundbreaking. The setting in a troubled time and place is good, but musically, it's definitely not fully utilized. The main couple is enjoyable, but the dancer just isn't manly like Swayze. Unfortunately, the story is too similar to the first one, so it comes across rather dull. ()
Were it not for such an unfortunately chosen title, there would have been a few thousand fewer ratings here and a few percent higher scores. There are a lot of things going on in Havana, but as soon as it starts getting compared with the original, the impressions naturally go to completely different spheres. ()
