May 8th, 1945 and its impact on the world. This documentary doesn’t concern V- E Day alone, but it looks at all possible points of view, even some controversial ones, ranging from end of war celebrations, through what this meant for Eastern Europe, the Balkans, China, America, the Pacific in political and other terms... And it is this wide perspective that is the biggest mistake here, because so many fascinating aspects deserve one documentary each and here the documentary just touches very slightly on each one during its 50-minute running time.
