If you like categorization, then according to one category, a person is definitely left-leaning. But that's not the main reason why I liked the movie "The Salt of the Earth" so much. It shows the power of an individual and a group when they stand up for something right. It's a good thing there was never a sequel because those people would have ruined it anyway. This way, it's just good.
