Mr. Bean trabaja como vigilante del prestigioso Royal National Gallery. Sus jefes están hartos de él y quieren despedirlo a causa de sus continuas meteduras de pata, pero no pueden hacerlo porque cuenta con la recomendación del director del museo. We still have the (probably no longer working) original VHS at home, and I remember watching the film more than once back then. I went back to The Ultimate Disaster Movie some years after the last screening, and it was indeed a nostalgic return. Mr. Bean and his hijinks definitely work better in short sketches and with a minimum of words, no question about it, yet this film version it's a fun romp that references the original series in more than one place. I had the most fun with Bean's nighttime mission at the museum and his amateurish (but supremely effective) doctoring at the hospital.
