inglés I have to admit that I knew that some kind of a Christopher Robin movie was being filmed based on the life of his creator A. A. Milne. But what I didn’t know was that one year before that, the movie Goodbye Christopher Robin was made which runs in a similar vein. Well, I do like human interest stories so I gladly gave this movie a chance. The result is a weirdly unorthodox biopic which doesn’t look for only the good or only the bad in any of the characters. The dad, the mom and little Christopher are characters who have their own positive and negative sides. In the film, it looks very strange. Once you are angry with little Christopher, and then another time he moves you to tears. And let’s not even start about his parents. The mother, despite having several positive qualities, would deserve a slap on the face and the father was a very complicated person. I guess it was their intention not to make a black-and-white film because their housekeeper, who is portrayed by Kelly MacDonald, is simply lovable. When it comes to acting performances, this is a great movie. It will bore you at times, but only until Winnie the Pooh is created, after which the movie flows like a good biopic. ()

inglés I'm very sorry to see that once again there has been some sort of competition between the new Milne films. While Goodbye Christopher Robin is a much better biography, the story of A. A. Milne's rival Christopher Robin tells the coming-of-age story of Milne's son. Margot Robbie is excellent here as Daphne Milne, the wife and mother who was behind the promotion of the Hundred Acre Wood stories. Kelly Macdonald is very enjoyable as a traditional nanny from the English countryside between the wars. Finally, it all builds up beautifully with its humanistic appeal, for even Winnie the Pooh is just one of the many metaphors that the lost generation ran to. ()

inglés A. A. Milne was an interesting personality and left behind a body of work that will last for generations, probably because it is so different and so special. The film Goodbye Christopher Robin gives an interesting insight into how a work of art can come into being and how it affects the life of its creator and his loved ones. The acting is very good. ()
