inglés When Michael Gazzo came up with the theme of drug addiction in the mid-50s, it was also a new and unexplored topic in America. Similarly, it worked 20 years later when František Filip dusted off the play and adapted it for television. He preserved the American setting because drugs officially did not occur in Czechoslovakia. Filip's strongest weapon was the cast, and at the same time, I see it as a stumbling block. The group that gathered in front of the camera was part of the elite of Czech theater. But I got the feeling as if they were seeing each other on the stage of the National Theater. It needed a clear reduction. On the other hand, seeing the charismatic Pivec in his last television role is an experience worth seeing this for. I see the second weakness in length. The theatrical play has different requirements, and in the case of a television production, I would have let the scissors work in a few places. Ninety minutes would be considered adequate. Overall impression: 65%. ()
