inglés With all due respect to Coppola, I don't understand or maybe I don't want to understand the cultural status of this film, because I would have to once again develop my theories about herd mentality and snobbery. In my opinion, Rumble Fish is unbearably burdened with melodramatics, and exaggerated scenes, and pretends to be heavily psychological where it is not appropriate. The attempt to graft art onto a favored theme in this case resulted in something that could be too easily parodied. It is about life in a way that corresponds to the books of Foglar in the lives of boys of that time. At the same time, the film certainly does not want to be a typical adventure or action film, so fans of these genres will inevitably be disappointed. Fans of Nicolas Cage can appreciate the youthful appearance of their favorite actor from a time when he was not yet a big star, and of course, the film features several well-known actors who later made a significant impact in cinema, but that's about it. Those who want to see a street gang in action can watch the five-minute video of Michael Jackson's "Beat It", which is much more convincing... Overall impression: 40%. ()
