If Julianne Moore is great at something, it is portraying a sick person. However, the whole film also greatly aids her in this, as it has a peculiar poetry that is somehow sick in itself. You will feel like you are falling into somewhere unfamiliar, where you don't want to go or perhaps don't even want to recognize. It's a powerful experience, but it may not resonate with everyone.
