inglés A drama about a girl forced to live in foster care because her mother was convicted of murder. At times the film's very atmospheric mood is enhanced by a dreamy, ambient soundtrack, and Pfeiffer fits the role of a very strong woman to a tee. And by the way, what does that woman do to stay so beautiful? Alison Lohman as the daughter is also excellent. If this girl is lucky with her movies, I bet she'll become a great actor in the future. inglés Beautiful Alison, chilling Michelle, and convincing Renée elevate the variable scenario that alternates between captivating intimate moments and incomprehensible outbursts of hysteria. The theme is almost brilliant, but the execution disappoints more with each scene. ()

inglés An excellent premise, quite solid workmanship, and most importantly a brilliant cast full of talent, including experienced and proven stalwarts. Perhaps too drawn out and thematically impersonal, but otherwise fine. ()

inglés While I do enjoy movies that let me switch my brain to standby mode and relax peacefully, this one doesn't fall into that category. It belongs to a different type of films that I adore — those that demand every brain cell to work at full capacity. This category has depth and leaves you pondering long after the credits roll. Astrid's story gripped me even tighter on my second watch, so I decided to give it a higher rating. ()
