Sinopsis(1)
Para las tropas federales y la compañía del ferrocarril Rock Island, Jesse James (Colin Farrell) y Cole Younger (Scott Caan) son los perfectos candidatos a la horca. Para los habitantes de Liberty, Missouri, son algo totalmente distinto: héroes. La historia comienza cuando Jesse James y Cole Younger regresan a su pueblo natal, Liberty, tras la Guerra Civil americana dispuestos a continuar sus vidas de granjeros. Pero a su llegada se encuentran con un pueblo ocupado por la compañía de ferrocarril, quien obliga a sus habitantes a malvender sus tierras con el apoyo del detective Allan Pinkerton (Timothy Dalton), quien declara "fuera de la Ley" a los ciudadanos rebeldes. Los jóvenes ex-soldados se unen para defender con sus vidas el lugar donde siempre han vivido, formando la banda James-Younger. Western, horses, plain, Colin Farrell... and also Moby. From the very beginning, it is clear that we will go towards jokes, love, good hearts, and comfort. And everything works, it's just that in the end, everything is half-hearted. Each scene unfolds on its own, nothing gets messed up, so there is nothing to unravel. Definitely not offensive, but with a little extra push at the end, the outlaws could shoot much further.

I have seen so many better films labelled western comedy that this one gets lost among them. It's not bad and it does the job, perhaps, but the story itself is so stale, uninteresting and emotionally cold that it doesn't deserve a higher rating.
