Ruthie y Or, madre e hija, viven en un pequeño departamento en Tel Aviv. Ruthie ha sido prostituta durante los últimos veinte años y Or ha intentado varias veces —sin éxito— convencerla de que deje la calle. La rutina cotidiana de Or es una sucesión de pequeños trabajos: lava platos en un restaurante, trapea escaleras, recoge botellas para venderlas y va a la prepa cuando puede. A deeply depressing film about a daughter in Israel trying to get her mother to stop being a prostitute, but things are not easy for the mother. And the problem isn't just that she doesn't want to, it's simply that she's addicted. The feeling that this can't end well doesn't completely come true, yet the film will resonate with you more on a depressing note.
