Vemos una ciudad dentro de un gran laberinto. El día y la noche alternan sobre la ciudad y el laberinto, y el sol y la luna giran en un ciclo aparentemente sin fin. De repente, la máquina chirría y se detiene. ¿Será una noche sin fin? (Huesca International Film Festival)

Arguably the best Czech short animated film in recent years. It's evidence that even in the new century, Czech animation is thriving. The screenplay may be a bit weaker, but the execution is excellent, and the atmosphere is palpable. It's a horror affair with plenty of artistic ideas, dominated by animated sculptures and a depressingly-toned music score. Actually, the unfinished screenplay eventually became an asset to the film, as it provides the viewer with few clues to understand the plot, and as we know, we fear most what we don't know and don't understand. In terms of visuals, it's a highly creative piece. Overall impression: 95%.
