Hamu

The film visualises Cakó’s traumatic memories of home, the image of his mother and the never ending circle of life and death. Similarly to his other films using sand animation, Ashes is built around metamorphoses and fluid transformations of one image into another. The film won the Golden Bear in Berlin in 1994. (Anifilm)
