Las mujeres troyanas se resisten a entregar su querida ciudad de Troya a los griegos una vez han ganado la batalla. La caída de la ciudad es para estas mujeres el inicio de la esclavitud y el de una vida desgraciada. I don't know why, but I fell in love with this ancient tragedy in the film at first sight. The dramatic original is great, but the static and expressive realization of the lamentation of the defeated Trojans over the destruction of their world is beautiful and acted in a riveting way. A lover of ancient theatre can roughly check how the chorus worked in practice, a lover of film can see how much of the drama the language carries in the film. Yes, and Irene Papas is a beauty of truly ancient grandeur. With or without a back :o)))
