Mary, la asistente legal (2006) (S01E19)

inglés This episode was not just hilarious but also surprisingly informative. Prejudices are bad, except when there's some solid evidence backing them up, and I've got my fair share of those. The way American juries roll, forming an entirely independent and objective opinion with just one unsupported piece of information? Kind of mind-boggling. Wanna shout my love for Barney. / Lesson learned: Gossip's unreliable; you can only find the truth on the internet. ()

Un baile inolvidable (2006) (S01E20)

inglés I wasn't disappointed by the plot of this episode. Apparently, anything can happen at a prom — I got that vibe years ago watching  Carrie (1976) , and a bunch of student comedy movies also back that notion. It was a crazy ride, but I had a blast. / Lesson learned: When going to a prom, be sure to wear your rubber boots. ()

Leche (2006) (S01E21)

inglés This episode fell flat for me. I enjoyed the humor in the earlier episodes because the creators didn't waste time on unnecessary or boring digressions. This time, though, it was the opposite. Sure, Barney and Marshall brought in some humor, but the rest... / Lesson learned: If you fail at something, it's better not to go back to it. ()

Vamos (2006) (S01E22)

inglés The season finale didn't really knock my socks off. I wasn't all that thrilled because, even though there were some laugh-worthy moments, they got overshadowed by some pretty dull scenes. What did I expect, right? I'm watching a series about relationships while not being exactly the romantic type. Oh well. / Lesson learned: If you're a farmer, dance. ()

Season 2 (2006) (S02)

inglés Season 2 brought along a huge number of memorable one-liners and excellent scenes that almost made me laugh my head off. Some of them were so awesome that I've remembered them for fourteen years. Trust me, it's an extraordinary feat for my brain. On the other hand, it's true that many of the episodes weren’t as enjoyable because they focused on relationships at the expense of comedy. And I watch the show to have some laughs. / Lesson learned: Pay attention to your physical and mental hygiene. ()

¿Por dónde íbamos? (2006) (S02E01)

inglés The start of the second season hit the spot for me. The creators went on dissecting a major relationship issue again, but I had a good time this time around because it wasn't just a bunch of dull statements — I laughed throughout. Barney's speech right at the start had me in stitches, so mission accomplished. / Lesson learned: Don't wallow in self-pity. ()

El escorpión y el sapo (2006) (S02E02)

inglés The second episode got a bit too tangled up in relationship drama, leaning more towards emotions than humor. That's always a big issue for me with sitcoms — I'm here to laugh, not cry into my pillow later at night. Still, gotta give it to Barney; his antics were top-notch, and that final scene at the bar had me grinning ear to ear. / Lesson learned: Don't mess with your friends; they might hit you right back. ()

Brunch (2006) (S02E03)

inglés I'm all about those multi-perspective plots, and the third episode was hilarious, so no doubt it scored five stars from me. The creators nailed it by showing that you can tackle relationship stuff without ditching the humor, and they served up a hefty dose of it. Too bad they couldn't always stick with that vibe. Barney Stinson stole the show again. / Lesson learned: Learn to talk about unpleasant things too. ()

Ted Mosby: arquitecto (2006) (S02E04)

inglés I remember this episode perfectly since the moment I first saw it, which means I must have really enjoyed the episode years ago, and I still do. / Lesson learned: If you're not getting anywhere, maybe try being someone else. ()

La pareja más maravillosa del mundo (2006) (S02E05)

inglés I was surprised how well I remembered the episode even though I'd seen it fourteen years ago. Weird, right? And I enjoyed it as much as I did back then. Barney Stinson is the driving force of the show, and I even got a peek into his apartment this time. / Lesson learned: Be careful who you let into your apartment. ()

La justicia de Aldrin (2006) (S02E06)

inglés Another excellent episode. Even if the parts about the architecture office were lacking, Barney totally made up for it with his cougar-hunting expeditions. / Lesson learned: Do not overestimate your abilities, and make sure you stay hydrated. ()

Swarley (2006) (S02E07)

inglés Got my fair share of nicknames in life — some cool, some not so much — but none hit me so bad like poor Swarles. The episode had a bunch of stuff going down, but nothing tickled my funny bone quite like Barney's discomfort. Neil Patrick Harris once again owned the show, and his Barney remains my go-to favorite character. / Lesson learned: When a new nickname comes your way, don't fight it, just roll with it. ()

Atlantic City (2006) (S02E08)

inglés Never really stuck with this series till the end, and after the sixth episode, I'm starting to remember why. What grated on my nerves back then was Marshall and Lily's relationship drama, and those old feelings came rushing back today. Good thing gambler Barney and the convincingly portrayed keno/wedding chapel clerk were there to save the day. / Lesson learned: Always have a solid excuse ready in case you get invited to a wedding. ()

La apuesta (2006) (S02E09)

inglés Not only did I have a blast watching this episode, but it was also the beginning of a great running gag. Plus, the plot played out just like I wanted it to. The key here was the humor — none of that relationship dissecting stuff, and Barney got the spotlight he deserved. Only downside? I can't get that dumb tune out of my head now. / Lesson learned: If you have done something in the past that you are not proud of, destroy the evidence and consider eliminating any potential witnesses. ()

Furor de soltero (2006) (S02E10)

inglés So, the episode packed in a bunch of things that usually bug me in today's movies and series, but surprisingly, I still had a good time. The creators nailed it here. / Lesson learned: Learn something when you're young and you'll never forget it. ()

Así fue como Lily robó la Navidad (2006) (S02E11)

inglés Yet another episode that Lily almost ruined for me. Marshall was the saving grace, getting all into the Christmas vibes, but apart from that, the eleventh episode left me with almost zero laughs. Ted's visit to his sister Stacy added a bit of spice, but overall, it was a major letdown. / Lesson learned: Christmas is overrated. ()

La primera vez en Nueva York (2007) (S02E12)

inglés Most of the episode took place in the entrance hall of the Empire State Building, and unlike the last one, it had me cracking up. Even though it was all about relationships, the creators nailed it this time, loading it up with humor that had my facial muscles getting a workout. Surprisingly, it wasn't Barney, but Ted, of all people, keeping the good vibes rolling. / Lesson learned: The most important lesson is right there in the episode; nothing more needs to be said. ()

Columnas (2007) (S02E13)

inglés The third disappointment in a row. Weirdly, this time it wasn't about diving too deep into relationship drama; it was just that the creators failed to come up with an interesting plot, leaving me pretty darn bored the whole time. Sure, there were a couple of decent moments, but they were few and far between. / Lesson learned: When you pay upfront, you're taking a bit of a risk. ()

Lunes, noche de fútbol (2007) (S02E14)

inglés The creators bounced back from the previous weak episode and delivered a hilarious plot that seriously lifted my mood. Ted and Barney stole the show, but Marshall held his own with some epic blackmailing. The ladies took a bit of a backseat this time. / Lesson learned: The best defense is offense. ()

El penique de la suerte (2007) (S02E15)

inglés It's definitely up there as one of my favorite episodes. I love storytelling that unfolds bit by bit. Plus, major props for not making it all about relationships but throwing in a good dose of humor. I had a blast with Marshall's training, Barney rocking the Meresjev role, and Lily in the lynching crowd of brides-to-be. / Lesson learned: Numismatics is an interesting sport. ()
