Singing sailor Bing Crosby, decorative washcloth Carole Lombard, Ethel Merman in her second feature film, lots of other sailors, a group always willing to try a new cocktail, and one cheerful bear. All this happens on one cruise ship... and then on an island... and then back on the ship. It’s a great to wonderful post-code crazy comedy that hasn't been hurt that much by that stinking puritanical guy yet. ()
Although it initially seems like a film that will be quite heartwarming, it turns out to be, at times, a very good conversational comedy. It's through these dialogues that some great jokes are sometimes said, which can knock you out. I've laughed out loud a few times, which pleased me, and I quite enjoyed the movie. ()
