Durante una fiesta de Halloween, la policía interrumpe la noche y sella la mansión en la que se está celebrando. Un grupo de jóvenes decide esconderse y seguir la diversión el resto de la noche, a pesar de que no puedan salir de allí. Cuando bajan al sótano y descubren unos sorprendentes restos humanos, se desata la pesadilla y los demonios y espíritus comienzan a llenar la mansión y aterrorizar a los muchachos, que tendrán que enfrentarse a todos sus temores si quieren terminar con vida esta Noche de los Demonios. Night of the Demons relies heavily on gore, which is quite good. Every now and then they also introduce a face that's a little bit familiar, whether it's Shannon Elizabeth or Edward Furlong, both of whom are a little past their prime. Then it's just a matter of wondering who will survive, if anyone, and if they'll manage to come up with some really nasty stuff, which they actually do at one point.

One of those few remakes that had a good chance of being better than the original. The old Night of the Demons is an undemanding and bloody fun B-movie with good make-up that would never reach the top of the horror rankings, and neither will the remake. The failure could be expected, Adam Gierasch behind the camera (the director of the stupid The Autopsy) and the long delayed première weren’t good sings. But I’m not disappointed because I wasn’t expecting anything. It’s watchable, though. 5/10
