Años 80. Janek es un joven polaco rebelde y entusiasta que quiere crear un conjunto punk. Su vida es la música y su gran amor, Basia ocupa todo su tiempo. Pero las cosas empiezan a cambiar: se suceden protestas y huelgas por todo el país, fomentadas por el sindicato Solidaridad, que ponen nervioso al régimen comunista en el poder. Mientras Janek quiere seguir adelante con su banda, se aprueba la Ley Marcial en Polonia y toda muestra aperturista es vista con malos ojos por la Policía de Seguridad. (Filmin)

I can't help but think of it as just one more statement about the times, through punk as both the engine and the catalyst that directs young people and their actions. Rebellion at a time when it's not a good time. I almost thought to myself that everything you expect from such a film is here. And there wasn't much else.

I feel as if the Poles have tried to react to the Czech Identity Card. Except that they replaced The Plastic People of the Universe with some local punk band. Otherwise, thematically, it is a completely same movie and if the characters grow close to your heart, they will be tough to leave at the end.
