inglés On the face of it, it’s a nondescript 1960s something, but on second glance a very endearing timeless romance. Paradoxically, this adaptation of Kurt Tucholsky's novel of the same name takes only the basic situation of a young German couple travelling in Sweden and leaves out all the important political-autobiographical elements for which the novel has become respected. However, the period interwar romance brought into the present day works, and the attractive couple Jana Brejchová and Walter Giller casually promote the beauty of their journey and the destination itself. Lydia and Kurt travel first to Hamburg by train, then by boat to Stockholm and finally stay at Sweden's oldest castle, Gripsholm. Their cute little private life is gradually enriched by a visit from their friend Charlie and when he has to leave, he is replaced by their mutual friend Billie. With Charlie, sunny days turned into fun, with Billie they resulted in spicy nights together. ()
