Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde from 1941 is a successful adaptation that relies on excellent performances. I still think the 1931 adaptation is better, but I consider that one the best overall. It is evident that the best adaptations of Stevenson's book were made before 1950, which is quite sad because even in the following years, the story was adapted poorly. ()
