1995, Ostia. Vittorio and Cesare are barely over 20 years old and they are not just friends, they are almost like blood brothers. Theirs is a life of excess: clubs, cars, alcohol, synthetic drugs and dealing cocaine. They share their lives, but have different souls, both searching for some kind of affirmation. Life initiation comes to them at a high cost, and slowly Vittorio starts wishing for something different; then he meets Linda and, to protect himself, he starts drifting apart from Cesare, who instead is inexorably sinking. Some times later they meet again, and Vittorio tries to push the old friend towards a job: After some initial resistances, Cesare finally accepts. It seems he is intended to turn his life around, he also starts dating Viviana (an old ex of Vittorio) and dreams of starting a family with her. But once more the call of the streets will win him over. Notwithstanding his friend's failures and the endless discussions with Linda, Vittorio will never really give up on Cesare: Their bond is just too strong, and he still hope they might be looking at a bright future someday.
