inglés If you're familiar with the excellent film Slap Shot with Paul Newman, then... this is pretty much the same thing, only about 1000% more vulgar. Were it a different film I would probably be bothered by such an excess of swearing, but it suits the hockey environment. Apart from the titular dumb hero, who is always going his own way, I really, really, really (and come to think of it, actually much more in the end) liked the goon played by Liev Schreiber. Maybe because he reminded me so much of the Pilsen goon Ryan Hollweg. I enjoyed myself to the tune of four stars, which was aided by many of the comments made by the sports commentator. ()

inglés I'm not an avid hockey fan, but when I do watch it, it's always with the anticipation of a boxing match, and with Goon you can enjoy that to the fullest. The story strongly resembles other American fairytale about the way to the top, but this time the sporting concept, the very indiscriminately and bloody battles and the irresistibly inappropriate fucking triumph over any kitsch make the film an easygoing and pure comedy that I would have watched more than once. Plus a great Scott and a literally lethal Liev Schreiber. :D ()
