Sinopsis(1)

En la agitada ciudad de Dublín de los años 20, Gypo Nolan (Victor McLaglen) dado a la bebida y expulsado del Ejército de Liberación Irlandés, sueña con viajar a los Estados Unidos con su novia, Katie (Margot Grahame), que se gana la vida como prostituta. Una importante suma de dinero ofrecida por las autoridades le harán creer que su sueño está más cerca, sin embargo, le harán delatar a su viejo amigo y compañero activista Frankie (Wallace Ford).
