Fair Game (2017) (S06E01)

inglés Nothing special. I basically don't even know how to write a comment about the first episode of the sixth season because it was so mediocre. Quietly, I hope that the series doesn't go down the path of protecting human rights as part of a trendy wave because I've had enough of all the talk about how everyone means well. Peter Quinn is relatively fine after a massive stroke, and I'm somewhere in between him and a potato battery. ()

The Man in the Basement (2017) (S06E02)

inglés The sixth season of Homeland is, for me, a disappointment so far. My favorite espionage theme is just a marginal matter here, instead the creators explain to me that secret services abuse their power to restrict the human rights of potential suspects, but I already know that. Similarly useless to me was the mandatory analysis of the TV series "Thirty Cases of Major Zeman" when they finally dared to broadcast it after years, but this analysis, which taught the viewer that communism is bad, at least was not part of the series. In the case of Homeland, there is no escape. I'm still giving it a chance, but if Carrie goes to Tibet in search of wisdom, I'm done. ()

The Covenant (2017) (S06E03)

inglés I didn't get bored until watching the third episode, which is the first time this season. Saul Berenson and Dar Adal were mainly responsible for that, as I finally came across some espionage in their storyline. However, Carrie doesn't interest me at all in this series because I really don't care how the enthusiast for martyrs ends up, and I would be very happy if the creators reveal how Quinn's medical miracle happened, I would gladly use it too. ()

A Flash of Light (2017) (S06E04)

inglés In my opinion, the fourth episode has been the best of the sixth season so far, but it still can't match the quality of the better episodes from previous seasons. Carrie's new mission simply doesn't work for me, and the plot seems to revolve more around Dar Adal and Saul Berenson, while Peter Quinn lags behind in the background. ()

Casus Belli (2017) (S06E05)

inglés Finally, Homeland! But it took so long! The fifth episode had everything that was missing in the previous ones: perfect atmosphere, intensifying tension, quality action, and even an interesting twist. The fourth part did awaken hope in me, but I didn't expect such a turn for the better. Great satisfaction. ()

The Return (2017) (S06E06)

inglés The plot of the sixth episode may not have been as gripping as the previous one, but what was lacking in action, the creators substituted with intrigues and a paranoid atmosphere. I'm just a little sorry that the chosen president is not played by an actress with better facial expressions, but they have what they chose. A successful affair. ()

Imminent Risk (2017) (S06E07)

inglés I didn't mind that there was no action in the previous episode, but the seventh episode has also lost its tension and atmosphere, so I ended up with Carrie again, and all her skeletons were brought up again, which bores me because it happens every season. Honestly, if it weren't for the Javadi-Adal duo, there would be nothing worth watching. And that unnecessary explanatory scene at the end? WTF? If someone hadn't realized it before, they should rather watch a different genre. ()

alt.truth (2017) (S06E08)

inglés The last episodes were like on a rollercoaster. The previous one was approaching a catastrophe, the eighth episode was excellent. The atmosphere worked great, the tension was successfully escalated, there was even some decent action, Quinn was beautifully paranoid (the emptied magazine was a pleasant surprise) and Dar Adal's plan gained momentum. I enjoyed it. ()

Sock Puppets (2017) (S06E09)

inglés The "One Woman Show" initially frightened me, but then the whole episode took the right direction. I enjoyed the silent war within the CIA, I even got used to the female version of Mickey Rourke. Dar Adal continued to act like a black hand, my only issue is with unexpectedly nimble and capable Peter Quinn, but it doesn't matter, it's fiction and I only envy a little bit... ()

The Flag House (2017) (S06E10)

inglés The tenth episode followed in the footsteps of the ninth, so it had the same strong atmosphere, heightened tension, and intertwining of intrigues. I enjoyed it greatly once again and I understood that family life is absolutely unsuitable for secret service agents (even the former ones). ()

R for Romeo (2017) (S06E11)

inglés It was evident that the season was approaching its end. The atmosphere became even more intense, tension increased with every minute, and this time the episode was filled with a lot of action. From what I saw, I understood that I don't have to worry about a boring final episode, because it's clear that this time the creators took care not to shoot their ammunition prematurely. ()

America First (2017) (S06E12)

inglés After the eleventh episode, I was excited and looking forward to the conclusion, but what was that again? The first part of the episode was great, it had a dense atmosphere again, it was thrilling, and everything went according to my expectations. Then there was a twist, the story jumped six (!!!) weeks ahead, it stopped making sense in relation to previous seasons, and I have an irresistible feeling that the creators made fun of me. What a shame. ()

Season 7 (2018) (S07)

inglés Homeland's seventh season was clearly the weakest one for me so far. This was partly because the events related to Carrie's illness seem to be the same from season to season, as well as the constant fights between the sisters. The story being set in the United States also had a large share in my dissatisfaction. I was missing an enemy that I could resent. It just wasn’t the same without the Muslims. Not even the Russian menace could save it. ()

Enemy of the State (2018) (S07E01)

inglés No, I don't know, it's starting to look like my previously favorite series is definitively going downhill. I'm not exactly a die-hard fan of the all-powerful (or rather all-capable) Brother Sam, but if he's fighting against fanatics with a callus on his forehead, he has my sympathies. And that brings me to the biggest problem of the first episode - I didn't have anyone to root for. When the Amigos go after each other, I'm just the third one laughing. ()

Rebel Rebel (2018) (S07E02)

inglés Although I agree with Arkanoid's comment, I was planning to rate the second part with three stars. But then the screenwriters gave me such a kick that the third piece completely fell apart. It was the moment when the friendly advisor to the president for national security (Saul's dad) convinces the police officer with his charm and fatherly approach to betray O'Keefe. That was really weak. ()

Standoff (2018) (S07E03)

inglés I wouldn't have such a problem with the third episode, and I would gladly add that third star if the creators didn't return to the traditional, clichéd storyline. Carrie is once again mentally collapsing, and guess what, it will be discussed over and over again whether she's taking medication, whether it's the right medication, etc., etc. It's already an overused record. ()

Like Bad at Things (2018) (S07E04)

inglés I watched the series Waco, I liked it, but mainly it had something that was completely missing in this episode: a great atmosphere. It's not that the creators of Homeland didn't try, they even copied the decision-making of the commander in the operation, who ignores the advice and pleas of the experienced negotiator, added a failed evacuation of women and children to play with emotions a little bit, but I didn't really care about it. I already wrote it in a comment on the first episode - when Americans fight amongst themselves... I added the third part because I felt like a skinhead in this joke: An unlikely trio (Gypsy, Jew, and skinhead) go fishing. After a while, they catch a golden fish, which promises to grant each of them one wish for their release. Gypsy: "I want the Jew to drop dead!" Jew: "In that case, I want the Gypsy to drop dead!" Skinhead: "In such a situation, I would just ask for a cup of coffee." ()

Active Measures (2018) (S07E05)

inglés No, it's not the old Homeland that I enjoyed watching so much, but this time the creators didn't annoy me at least. The emotional play in the church couldn't disappoint me either, because it served the interest of one of the involved parties, so it instantly becomes a decent three. ()

Species Jump (2018) (S07E06)

inglés Russia - the main enemy of the USA is returning to the scene in full force, and that's good because I'm not too concerned about American internal disputes and Vietnam has been out of the game for some time now. The creators have returned to their proven method of complicating storylines, but I feel like they're not doing it as smoothly as they did in previous seasons. ()

Andante (2018) (S07E07)

inglés The seventh episode was a bit unbalanced for me. On one hand, I quite enjoyed Saul's storyline, but on the other hand, I was not pleased with Carrie's argument with her sister nor with what resulted from it, because all of this keeps repeating in the series and faithfully returns in various forms.
