Es el día del orgullo flamenco, y cientos de ellos se reúnen en una animada macrocelebración. Pero nuestro héroe no termina de integrarse en el ambiente. Cuando recibe el desprecio de una cigüeña por la que se siente atraído, decide separarse del grupo para ahogar sus penas en soledad. Sin embargo, un inesperado incidente le brindará la oportunidad de convertirse en el rey de la fiesta. (Gijón International Film Festival)

That's what I call a coincidence, to come across a piece like Flamingo Pride on the International Day Against Homophobia. It's basically one big, pinkish, fluffy freak show, but it really amused me. What struck me most was the stylisation of the various species of birds into different human types – pub regulars, burnt-out mothers, crybabies or mockers – and their contrast with the wild and exuberant world of proudly gay flamingos.
