Liebe, Babys und ein großes Herz

Time to leave the big city behind and head for the hills: good-natured, helpful midwife Antonia has finally had enough of her notoriously unfaithful boyfriend Steffen. So on the spur of the moment she turns her back on Berlin and goes to join her best friend Helena, who lives in provincial Bavaria. It's a huge change - and not only in personal terms: in the new hospital both the doctors and the other midwives are extremely sceptical about Antonius "fashionable" birthing methods, and consequently they make life very difficult for her. But with her likeable manner, backed by many years of experience, Antonia finally manages to persuade everybody to give her a chance. Even the senior physician Dr. Thomas Hellmann is fascinated by her - in personal as well as professional terms. After an exhausting and complex homebirth and a joint hang-gliding expedition, the two of them come closer. It looks as though everything should be plain sailing now. But they appear to have forgotten about their previous partners, Steffen and Yvonne! What makes things especially tricky is that Thomas Hellmann is engaged to the daughter of the medical superintendant at the hospital. And when Antonia's ex-boyfriend Steffen arrives from Berlin and begs her to give him a second chance, things really do start to become complicated.. (ZDF)
