En Las Landas, suroeste de Francia, las bodas se conciertan para unir tierras y familias. Thérèse Larroque se convierte en la Sra. de Desqueyroux, pero esta joven de ideas vanguardistas no respeta las convenciones de la clase burguesa. While watching this movie, I agreed with the reviewer Enšpígl in many ways. Not only does the story of Thérèse Desqueyroux stretch like a hairy dumpling in the mouth, it is also really boring. But even so, the film has certain qualities. For example, the camera shots of the French countryside were flawless. Audrey Tautou was nice, too, although her character would benefit from being a bit livelier. Well, the fact is that the creators of this film turned it into a chick flick. For this reason, the film reminded me a little of the equally strange French movie The Well-Digger’s Daughter.
