Little gore, lots of boredom. A simple story of a gigolo with a "specialty" in widows who have a few things in common: they all have various physical defects (e.g. pronounced beards), they are all rich and all, or both, are murdered. "When Alice broke the mirror" is a film that captivates with its humor and light-heartedness. It is evident that Fulci primarily directed it for the sake of directing and enjoyment.
