Sinopsis(1)
Susan Dumurrier (Marisa Mell), muere debido a una enfermedad. Pese a parecer un triste infortunio, las circunstancias que rodean la noche de su muerte hace que la policía investigue el caso. Su marido George (Jean Sorel), quien desde tiempo atrás mantiene una aventura con su amante Jane (Elsa Martinelli), observará tras el suceso, en la ciudad de San Francisco, la publicidad de un local de bailarinas exóticas cuya imagen principal retrata a una bella mujer de gran parecido a su difunta esposa. Intrigado tras recibir una enigmática llamada anónima y sabiendo que la policía sospecha de él por haber cobrado una cuantiosa cantidad de dinero del seguro de vida de Susan, decidirá investigar a la magnética bailarina… (Filmin)

An interesting Fulci. There' s no Giallo slashing, no perversion, as the title might suggest. Just an interesting, almost Vertigo-like story and a lot of tasteful eroticism, which was a sought-after commodity and a trend in the cinema at the height of the sexual revolution, and Fulci pulled it off. As for the plot, hirnlego would probably say that "woman is the greatest evil on earth"; anyway, it's a bit naive, the villain's premature confession a too willing, but the ending, though a little too trite, was a delight. The colors were beautiful, many, many shots were really cool, and Mr. Director did his traditional crime lab cameo.

Lucio Fulci became famous for his brutal scenes, films with murderers, and supernatural movies, but with the film "Una sull'altra," it became clear that giallo was close to him in a different way. He was able to surpass it and create a film that was almost Hitchcockian, exploring the idea that we can never be sure where the truth lies, what is right, and what is good. The excellent screenplay is complemented by a certain direction that seems to transcend Fulci himself.
