Sinopsis(1)

En los años 60, un músico fue descubierto en un bar de Detroit por dos productores enamorados de sus melodías y sus letras conmovedoras. Grabaron un álbum que ellos creían que iba a situar al artista como uno de los grandes de su generación. Sin embargo, el éxito nunca llegó. De hecho, el cantante desapareció en medio de rumores sobre su suicidio encima del escenario. Mientras la figura del artista se perdía en el olvido, una grabación pirata encontrada en la Sudáfrica del apartheid se fue convirtiendo en un fenómeno. Dos fans sudafricanos se empeñan ahora en averiguar qué pasó realmente con su héroe. Su investigación los ha llevado hasta una historia extraordinaria, hasta el mito de "Rodríguez".
