Himawari to koinu no nanokakan

Shoji, an employee at the center, has done his best to raise his two kids as well since his wife's death. After encountering a solitary mother dog that risks her life to protect her puppies, he makes a decision to save the little creature's life. Shoji and his kids gave the mother dog the name `Himawari' which means `Sunflower', hoping that she can live in sunshine. Will she open her mind and find a new family? Can human love save the little creature's life? (Shochiku)
